The Key Light is an exploration into rethinking how we interact with the objects around us on a daily basis. Flipping a switch, tapping a screen, turning a dial; although tactile can never evoke the visceral sensation of using your entire body to create a new setting for yourself.

The three body system consists of a home tray, a diffuser sphere, and the cylinder which houses the light and all electronics. The only way to power the light and complete the system is with the key. Made from slip casting an ivory porcelain and a hand formed solid glass sphere with a thin colored outer layer to diffuse, the Key light material and form are designed to feel timeless in any space - emphasizing the interaction with the sphere key as the core experience.

The Key light was made to make you think and feel different.
